Katie Douglas has tipped off the season with impressive numbers for Lietuvos Telekomas Vilnius of Lithuania. Her team, which includes Sun guard Jenn Derevjanik and the Fever’s Jurgita Streimkyte, lost recently for the second time in eight matches. Douglas had a game-high 26 points and six steals. She leads the league in scoring (19.8 ppg) and leads the team in steals (3.6 spg). Derevjanik is averaging 2.9 points, 1.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and one steal in seven games.

Sun Players in the Australian Women’s Basketball League
Laura Summerton and Erin Phillips have led the Adelaide Fellas to an 8-7 record. With five rounds to go, the Fellas are hanging on to the fourth and final playoff spot. Both players are in the WNBL’s Top 10 of nearly every statistical category.
Sun draft pick Erin Phillips was awarded WNBL Player of the Month honors for her play during the month of October, when she averaged 14 points, 5.6 assists, 7.8 rebounds and 2.1 steals in eight games. The five-foot-seven guard was honored with the Price attack Player of the Week award during the second round of the season, after totaling 45 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists in two games.
