Andrea Ricci, Solar Power Choreographer/Coordinator
Andrea Ricci began as the Coordinator/Choreographer for the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun Solar Power Dance Team in 2005. With extensive experience in the entertainment industry, she brought Solar Power to a new level of talent and developed the program into one of the best dance teams in the industry! Today, Andrea also runs the Munchkins and the Senior Sun dancers. Her choreography brings a new level of excitement to Mohegan Sun Arena and her dancers incorporate professionalism, talent, personality and team spirit at each game. Young dancers can take part in the Solar Power experience through the annual clinics she produces each summer.
Based in Rhode Island, Andrea began her dance training at Cheryl’s School of Dance in North Providence. She is a graduate of the Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston Dance Teacher’s Training Program and has taught extensively throughout the country. Andrea is a graduate of Providence College and was a member and captain of their dance team. She is a former Head Instructor, Choreographer and New England Territory Manager for Universal Dance Association and Co. Dance. She is a veteran judge for the National Dance Team Championships in Walt Disney World, Fla., as seen on ESPN. Andrea is listed in “Who’s Who” for Rhode Island Dancers and the Global Dance Directory for the International Dance Council under UNESCO. She is thrilled to be back once again with the Connecticut Sun and looks forward to a great season!
