Betty Lennox has found a home in Seattle, re-signing a multi-year contract in February 2006. After getting off to a great start to her WNBA career by winning Rookie of the Year, making the All-Star Game and earning All-WNBA Second Team honors during the 2000 season, Lennox bounced around. She played only 11 games in 2001 because of a strained hip capsule and was traded by Minnesota to Miami during the 2002 campaign. After the Sol folded, Lennox played one season as a reserve for the Cleveland Rockers only to see them fold as well. Taken by the Storm with the sixth pick of the Dispersal Draft, Lennox had an outstanding 2004 season, averaging 11.2 points and 5.0 rebounds to finish third in Most Improved Player voting. Lennox really shined during the WNBA Finals, taking advantage of a Connecticut defense geared to stop teammates Sue Bird and Lauren Jackson by averaging 22.3 points on 50% shooting during the Finals. After the Storm beat the Sun two games to one, Lennox was named Finals MVP.
