Stephanie White
College - Purdue
Stephanie White is entering into her third year as the Sky’s assistant coach. A veteran of the league, White played five years in the WNBA, one with the Charlotte Sting and four with the Indiana Fever before retiring from play due to injuries. She has helped the Sky to a 14-20 record in 2007 and 12-22 in 2008.
White graduated from Purdue in 1999 with a degree in communications and was honored as the Wade Trophy National Player of the Year as the Boilermakers made their way to their first national title. She was also named Indiana NCAA Woman of the Year and Big Ten Conference Player of the Year during her senior year.
After playing five years in the WNBA, White assistant coached the University of Toledo (2005-07), Kansas State (2004-05) and Ball State’s (2003-04) women’s teams. After three years of college coaching, she signed with the Sky on February 12, 2007. White is active in recruiting, on-court coaching, scouting, and training the teams’ athletes. White is excited for her third year of coaching in the WNBA and is confident in the Sky in 2009.
